Ant at a Birthday Party

A child’s birthday celebration is being held in a garden. The open space is filled with colourful balloons tied to trees, picnic tables with food, paper plates, a birthday cake, and children running around. A few adults are chatting near the benches while the breeze moves the balloons and paper napkins. Birds chirp, sunlight filters through the leaves, and the smell of food fills the air.

Amid all the fun, a small ant crawls out of the grass near the party area, drawn by the sugary scent of cake and juice. To the ant, the world is enormous and full of wonder — towering grass blades look like trees, a paper plate is a huge white disc, and a single droplet of orange juice glows like amber on the soil. Suddenly, a crumb of cake falls nearby, and chaos begins: other ants appear, a child’s foot lands dangerously close, and shadows sweep across the ground.
