Educational use only

All content on Roughworks is provided for educational and exam-preparation purposes only. The site is free to use and is not affiliated with any official exam body.

Accounts and eligibility

You may use most of Roughworks without an account. If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information where requested and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

Public sign-in is typically via Google. Beta testers may be given access to a separate email-and-password sign-in route; that route is intended only for invited testers.

Source of questions

Questions are sourced from official past papers published by IIT Bombay (UCEED/CEED), NID, and NIFT, which are publicly available. All intellectual property in the original question content belongs to the respective institutions.

No guarantee of accuracy

While we strive to keep content accurate, we make no warranty regarding the correctness of answers, solutions, or explanations. Always verify with official sources before relying on any information here for your preparation.

Prohibited uses

You may not scrape, copy, or redistribute any part of this site — including code, content, and branding — for any purpose without prior permission.

You may not attempt to probe, disrupt, or bypass security controls; overload infrastructure; access another user's account or data; or use Roughworks to distribute malware, spam, or abusive content.

User-submitted content

When you submit a sketch to the public community gallery, you confirm that you are the author of the work and that sharing it does not infringe any third-party rights. By submitting, you grant Roughworks a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display the image on the site for the purpose of the community gallery.

To request removal of a submission, email bhargab@roughworks.in. We will action removal requests promptly.

Third-party authentication

When you sign in with Google, your use of Google's services is also governed by Google's terms and privacy policies. Roughworks does not control how Google presents consent screens or processes your Google account data beyond what you authorize at sign-in.

Service changes and availability

Roughworks may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may impose reasonable technical limits to protect the service and other users.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roughworks and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site.
